Have you ever stopped to consider what holiday planning time really means to you?
Maybe it’s a time to recharge the batteries, away from the confines of a stressful job, or time to escape from the day to day routine of nappy changing and screaming children.
For some, maybe it’s a time to spend in the company of friends or loved ones and for a few, time to get away on your own to find your own piece of rural calm.
One thing we all share in common, is the excitement building as the day approaches. The thought of being outside the daily routine of life that demands our attention for most of the year.
But when is the best time to plan this great adventure we love to call Our Holiday? The answer may well lie in our own emotions.
Traditionally, we love to think about holidays while the wind is blowing and the snow (or sleet) is falling outside. Whipping our thoughts into a frenzy of activity. But it’s not the only time either, remember that last holiday you spent lying by the pool, glass in hand and the BBQ arousing those taste buds and you find yourself saying “This is one to repeat next year!”, or how about the notion of just taking a week off and grabbing the passport and flying off to warmer climes, or to making that phone call and telling your loved one to pack a bag as you’re off for the weekend.
Holidays are what we make of them, they might be a noisy partying affair or a quiet relaxing break feeling the warm sun beating down on our newly tanned bodies. Holidays can be exotic, erotic, exciting, amazing, active, relaxing, awesome, original, breath-taking, stunning and even eventful, but at the end of the day, your holiday is what you make it.
Let us just consider one more thing, for a minute. Even before all that can happen, we have to make the all-important decision, where are we going on holiday?
At Forecorners we pride ourselves in offering ‘holiday retreats with style’ because we know how important your holiday really is to you.
We offer holidays for large groups too, up to 25 in comfort at our phenomenal Haford Lodge in amongst the rolling countryside of the Vale of Glamorgan, just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Cardiff and Swansea, yet far enough away to enjoy a short trip out onto the rolling Brecon Beacons, or to pack a picnic and walk up the famous Pen-Y-fan mountain.
